Revival of the arts

This is probably the first sentence of the post where I explain why I haven't been active in the blog world at all. I faced problems with my laptop and it led my illustrations to take a back seat but I admit missing blogging about my arts. In the mean time I would love to thank each and everyone of you who took the time to visit the blog and checked out my previous entries and told me how they appreciated my illustrations and believe me I will take the time to visit your little place as well.

Ahhh you know these lovely ladies above my from previous posts but I wanted to stick them all together just for the fun of it.

A well deserved welcome

I've never been so happy to be back in the wagon of blogging. It’s been a month but I feel as if it's been forever in the blogspere. It felt so long that every now and then I forget that wonderful feeling that I get from being able to create freely.  For the last few months I've been in the process of moving…moving and oh did I mention moving? My family and I went from leaving the Sunshine State Of Florida to living in our Home Country in Haiti. We've been doing so much work renovating our house to transform it to a home that being exhausted becomes part of my daily routine. Thus far everything has been going well throughout our days back home, sometimes when I look out my window it feels unreal to think that I traded my fall/winter wardrobe for short sleeves shirts, dresses and pants, although I still wear my scarves every now and then regardless the funny stares haha.  Some days are hotter than others and there are a few time when I felt a breeze that led me to wear a light jacket.
 One thing that has changed is the fact that I am officially a Blogger based in Haiti therefore I aim to only bring out the positive traits of Haiti along with my work. Although I am an artist I believe that I've seen quite negatives photos of my country. I aim to show through here that Haiti is more than January 12th 2010,therefore I will choose to keep these ugly sides out of my blog. With that in mind I am welcoming myself back here hoping this will become my motivation to keep posting works such as illustrations and photography. I am looking forward to re-connecting with you all and read all of the wonderful things that I’ve missed in your lives.

Then autumn came

For the last past days my throat has been putting me to sleep to rest because there's nothing that I could do but get rest and try to be creative. Miraculously this week it eased up and allowed me to be creative again this evening and that amount of time led me to illustrate the Fall days ahead.
The Little lady above is none but Alexa. She appreciate the wonderful breeze that Fall brings her as she steps out of the door. Lord knows she couldn't take more of that awful heat until she has to worry about it again next summer. Although Alexa is convinced that she detest the harsh cold air that comes with winter she feels ready to confront it while staying in style. Alexa takes consolation that she can look her absolute best as she is freezing her butts off with the art layering and combing colors with autumn tone, oversize bags, suede shoes and solid tight.

Colors of the wind

I am sure by now that my liking for stripes is publicly known. With fall approaching it will give me plenty of reasons to wear cute sweaters and let us not forget the excuse to finally wear boots. This is what I wore on this mighty Wednesday.

Normally I can the green top underneath by itself but that little darling of sweater was a better companion to jazz it. I use that word quite often don't I. I need to find another word.

Cozy and stylish moments

I am sure everyone is complaining about summer ending too soon but you know deep down you were getting annoyed by that awful heat, humidity and what not. Although I would rather be in a neutral environment a part of me is waiting to dig in my closet to wear my favorite tan boots. And so I am up in my little studio illustrating my ideas of perfect fall wardrobe but until then I leave you with these simple yet great style for your 2011 fall and winter.
